Slaved Doctor

"CODE BLUE!" Shouts the nurse at the emergency room.

A matte black Audi R8 Spyder stopped at the entrance of the City Hospital's Emergency Room. A tall, handsome man in his all white, button-down long sleeves, shiny black pants and shoes came down from the car.

When he entered the emergency room, he heard the wailing sound of the cardiac monitor and the shouts of the nurse. 

He rushed to the patient's location and commanded everyone.

"I'll start CPR!" He immediately jumped to the patient's bedside and started pumping. 

"Administer Epinephrine now!" He ordered again. 

Everybody was stunned with a questioning look as to who this person is and is giving orders.

Then the cardiac monitor goes "tooot-tooot-tooot"! Alas! there's a heartbeat. 

The man's shirt is soaking wet revealing his toned body with his six-pack abs. 

"The patient is stable already. Get the physician-in-charge and admit the patient right away."

Nobody in the City Hospital knew who he was. He just came in today and rushed to the patient immediately.

When the City Hospital's director heard the commotion, she immediately went to the Emergency Room to check the situation. She was stunned when she saw a familiar face.

Clive Aster. A well-known Emergency Doctor, Neuro and Cardiac Surgeon. 

Her Ex-Husband.

"Welcome Dr. Clive Aster! Welcome to the City Hospital." says director Celeste Klatt.

Celeste shook Clive's hand and gave him a light kiss on the cheeks.

"Parting ways seemed like yesterday, Celeste. It's nice seeing you again."

The bystanders around them were gossiping as to who this person is. 

"The director knows him. Who do you think he is?" whispers one nurse to the other.

"I don't know either."

"It's lovely seeing you again too, Dr. Aster." Staring at the man with a sweat-soaked shirt.

Celeste then faced the crowd and said, "Everyone, this our new colleague, Dr. Clive Aster. Now go back to your workstations and attend to the patients."

"Come, follow me to my office, Dr. Aster."

They entered a hallway leading to an office at the end. The glass sliding door, tinted with all-black, opened with Celeste's fingerprint. The office is huge and has elegant white interiors.

Clive stood in front of Celeste's table as if reporting to 'the Boss'.

The atmosphere in the office is quiet. Clive and Celeste exchanged glances as they can hear each other's breathing.

"Clive, don't be too formal. It's still me." Celeste mockingly opened the conversation and gave Clive a clean towel to dry himself.

Clive started wiping drops of sweat in his forehead. "Is it ok to use your bathroom? I would like to remove my shirt and wipe my sweat off." 

"Don't be silly. You can always take off your clothes in front of me. I've seen them all, remember?" Celeste smiled with sinister in her eyes. 

But the look on Clive's face is serious. 

"Just kidding. Go ahead! The bathroom is on the left side." Celeste rebutted quickly.

Clive walked to the direction of the bathroom. Little did he know, Celeste followed him. 

The bathroom is huge with a separate bath tub and shower area. The wall has a full body mirror and a huge closet on the opposite side. 

As he entered the bathroom, he saw Celeste's reflection through the mirror.

"Why did you follow me here?" Clive asked in an interrogating manner. 

"I just want to take a good look of your body again." 

Celeste looked at Clive's body from head to toe, letting out a grin on her face.

"We're divorced already Celeste."

"I know and I don't forget."

"Then why are you here?"

"This is technically my bathroom, so I'll enter here whenever I want."

"I asked for your permission to use this and you gave your approval. Better leave now."

"If you say so." Celeste smiled sarcastically as she turned her back to leave and as soon as she left, Clive locked the door.

'She has never changed.' as Clive lets out a sigh of relief.

Clive started unbuttoning his long sleeved shirt and wiped sweat all over. He don't know if this sweat is still the sweat from the emergency situation or because of Celeste's presence a moment ago. 

When he was done, he immediately fixed his self and went out of the bathroom.

"Oh! Finally, you are done, Dr. Aster! What took you so long?

"It is hard to reach up to my back. But I've managed it already."

"You could have asked for my help Dr. Aster. I'll be more than willing to."

"Thanks for the offer Director Klatt. I'll remember it next time." Clive looked through her with a mocking smile.
