We walk into a spare office in the house to have our talk, Jackson told me the living room would be more comfortable to have the talk, but I wasn't born yesterday. As I said before there was only one door leading to the kitchen and living room, if I open the door to get to the living room that would also lead to the kitchen. He's going to have to do better than that to fool me.

"Look at the weather today, that's England for you right?" He asks taking a seat at the desk, but once again I knew what he was trying to do.

"Enough with the distractions, the sooner we have this talk the sooner you get to gain access to the kitchen." I say sitting the opposite side of the desk, he sighs knowing he wasn't gonna pull the wool over my eyes. "I need to know everything you know about Mario and my dad." I tell him on the edge of the seat, he looks at me confused and a little shocked.

"How do you know his name?" He asks looking at me with a raised eyebrow, has he really forgotten that he said his name back on the walk?

"You told me his name on the walk, after we met that little woman, you accused of working for him." I say which sends him deep in thought but soon nods, how else does he think I know the dudes name?

"Where can I start with that man? Let's just say I have helped catch a lot of bad people in the two years I've worked this job, none of them even come close to being as bad as Mario." He starts to explain shaking his head, this doesn't make me feel better knowing my dad is with him. "There's some parts of Mario's story that we just don't know, as he's so powerful he can hire some of the most trained people in the field, which has enabled him to hide any record of his." He explains sitting back in his chair, while I was the opposite and was on the edge of my chair.

"So, what kind of stuff does Mario actually do?" I ask just wanting to get all the facts, if he's on the raider of whatever organisation my mum works for, he must do and have done some terrible things.

"Well, he started off just like any other lost kid, he would rob corner shops, break in people's houses and just commit little crimes." He starts to explain, I mean breaking into people's houses doesn't seem like little crimes to me! "Then he started to get bigger and bigger, he went from that to robbing cars, then went from that to making fake money and disrupting it out, then he would lend money and kill people that didn't pay him back, then kill people who wrong him, his family and friends." He says as though it was nothing, that was a heck of a big jump from breaking into houses to killing people!

"He came up on our raider maybe a year and a half ago, he managed to kidnap this higher up man's daughter, thankfully, she was brought home safe, but this led us to look into him more and learn of the horrifying crimes he has committed." He says which I was shocked he was able to fly under their raider years before, it sounds like he was doing some pretty horrible things.

"My mum said you were so close to busting him, but he found out, so before you managed to get him, she got my call about my dad." I say knowing he probably already knew that my mum would have had to debrief my babysitter.

"That's right, after a year of working non-stop we found him, we were suiting up to bust him when your mums phone rang, she looked annoyed until she saw the name and without hesitation, she answered." He explains which nearly makes me smile, it's becoming clearer that my mum actually cares which is shocking. "The room was silent as she shouted your name down the phone, in seconds she was out the door and headed to the car." He explains which does make me have a mini flashback.

I was talking on the phone when the headlights blind me for a second, but now I wasn't in the moment I managed to look through the lights at the people. Two men sat in the front seat while others sat in the back, as I look closer, I notice my dad with duct tape around his mouth, the two men in the back were holding him back. Once I land on the grass I take a look back at the car, it was white with the license plate ending PLD.

I soon snap back out of the flashback, at the time I couldn't remember any of that but now, all the little details were much clearer. Jackson sends me a look clocking my face, I guess I did just blank out for a second.

"The car was white with a number plate ending in PLD." I tell him not really thinking much about it, his eyes go wide where he scrambles to for his phone. "What's going on?" I ask looking at him worriedly, he doesn't answer me but holds the phone to his ear.

"Ally's fine but she just remembered something, the car was white with the end letters of the number plate PLD." He says down the phone while I just sat there confused, why is that little information so important? "Yeah okay, we'll be there soon." He says before hanging up, he wastes no time getting out his chair taking my hand in his.

"What's going on, where are you going?" I ask as he pulls me into the hall and towards the door, he checks my eyes to see if my contacts are in before opening the front door.

"We're going to see your mum." Is all he says as I'm led over to his car, I was still insanely confused on what the heck was going on but get in the car anyway.

In seconds he's reversed out the driveway and sends the car speeding down the road, I hold onto the seatbelt as he makes the car swerve passed all the other cars. I've never been driven like this, and I don't think I like it, his face just held what looked like determination as we race at what I'm guessing is over 100mph down the motorway.

"What is happening and how are you able to drive like this without getting stopped?" I ask as we literally race passed a police car, which doesn't attempt to stop what's happening.

"The police know what cars we drive so they don't stop us, and your mum will explain everything to you when we get there." He tells me the tyres screech as we go around the bend, a scream nearly escapes my lips as we do so.

"You're keeping me in the dark again, what's with you people and doing that?" I say looking out the window as we speed past, everything was just a blur to the speed.

"Somethings you can't always know about Ally!" He basically yells at me; I jump a little looking over at him. "I'm sorry, if what you’re remember is correct well.... we can just wait until you see your mum to explain." He sighs looking quite sad, well that was a huge change in emotion!

I wanted to question him more, but I could tell he probably wouldn't tell me anything, I didn't know how me remembering the colour of a car and the ending of a license plate number, would send everyone in such a frenzy!

I was about to learn the harsh truth of the frenzy.

  • The Spies Daughter    Final Chapter

~9 months later~ “Noel, table 5 said their dinner was delicious.” I smile looking through to the kitchen with a smile, Noel looks up from the cooker with a smile on his face. “I’ll only produce the best boss.” He shouts before getting back to work, I smile at his comment before turning around to look at my busy restaurant. I better fill you in before you get too confused, yes, I own my own restaurant now. After everything with Mario and the base, I knew it was time I had to head back to my old life and start working in the same boring restaurant I had for years. Let’s just say, I wasn’t too thrilled about it all. My mother saw my reaction and asked why don’t I train up and become an agent, I had proven myself over the months working with Jackson and was the key role in catching Mario. The offer of course, sounded tempting but I knew it wasn’t what I was meant to do. Yes, I had the best experience getting to watch what happens and learn on the job what it offers, but I don’t think

  • The Spies Daughter    Chapter Forty-Four: Bullets

Not even an hour later, Jackson and I were waiting behind the van with the team. The house was only a two-minute walk from here, but we needed to come up with an action plan, everyone having the mutual understanding of how unpredictable Mario can be on the best of days. But when we show up, he will soon realise, there is no way out now and he’ll need to pay for everything he has done to so many people. We don’t even want to know what he’ll do once he realises it’s all over for him, the most unpredictable man will get that much more unpredictable. Jackson was going over with the team of how we will enter the house, the unruly garden will be a perfect cover while they access the situation and make sure my mother and Mario are really there. No one was even talking about how many ways this could go wrong, all of our minds were focused on the job of getting my mother back safely and bringing Mario in. I think if I had allowed myself the moments to think all of this over in detail, I woul

  • The Spies Daughter    Chapter Forty-Three: Mothers House

An hour later, Jackson and I were walking into the base hand in hand. Now my mother has been taken by Mario, and Reece is in the hospital getting treated for being ambushed, Jackson was the boss. We needed a plan to one find where Mario has taken my mother but two, think of a way to bring Mario in without having what happened the last time. I’m led into a room which I had never seen before, it had people at desks filling the entire room. Who all turned to look at us as we walked in, paying extra attention to mine and Jackson’s interlocked fingers. I know it seems highly unprofessional that we’re doing this but let’s be honest, we all knew it was going to happen at some point! Right in the middle of the desks was a circle desk, one big computer in the middle with a bunch of people having panicked conversations with each other. In the centre of those panicked people stood Alison, who also looked worried. But once she turned to look at us, I see relief wash over her senses. “You’re fi

  • The Spies Daughter    Chapter Forty-Two: Jackson

The car ride felt like it was going on for hours, the tracker hadn’t moved since we had been following him but with every street we would turn down, it would feel like more would be added on. Jackson was going the ways I was telling him and was shocked we were in the part of town we were, according to Jackson, this is where most of the police officers and higher ups live. Mario was hiding right under their noses, and they had no idea. But let’s be honest, Mario is very good at what he does, he knew they wouldn’t be looking for him in their part of town, so that’s exactly where he hid. “It seems like the tracker is right on this next street.” I say looking down at my phone, the feeling of finally, being able to find my father at the forefront of my mind. Jackson turns the corner, where a huge office building which towered over all the other buildings stood. I take a look down at my phone and see the tracker seems to be within the building, Mario really wasn’t trying to hide in that p

  • The Spies Daughter    Chapter Forty-One: Tracker

Around half an hour later, we were all on our way towards the building my father would always tell me to remember to go there if something bad happens. Jackson and I were in front in his car while my mother and Reece, were in their car travelling right behind us. For once, I wasn’t nervous about heading to this place, it’s somewhere I had been before but also, a place my father told me I’d be safe if anything happens. Why didn’t I think of this when my father first went missing? What if all we need to stop Mario is in this building? I tell Jackson to take this final right turn where the building soon comes into view, the building itself not changing from the few years I had been here. I don’t take my eyes off the place even after Jackson parks the car, both of our attentions going to this building. “Ready?” Jackson asks turning to look at me with a smile, I take a deep breath nodding my head before we both open the doors and climb out where my mother and Reece were already waiting o

  • The Spies Daughter    Chapter Forty: Mario’s Father

The following day I wake up bright and early, now I knew I could play a key main role in finding my father, I wasn’t wasting anytime. I was even downstairs making breakfast for Jackson and I, normally, it’s the other way around. But I felt thankful for the way he was helping me, he was forced into this babysitting position, where he has been nothing but kind and compassionate even when I have been anything but easy going. Jackson soon walks into the kitchen where he comes to an abrupt stop, I was unsure if this was because I was in the kitchen before he had even woken up or because I was cooking. Before he had time to speak, he had a plate of eggs, bacon and beans in his hands. “What’s the occasion?” He asks taking a seat at the counter looking down at the food I had made, I smile turning around with my glass of water and join him on the counter. “There’s no occasion, I just couldn’t really sleep and thought it would be nice if I make you breakfast this time.” I smile as he takes h
