Uzair, a young man at the age of twenty-five, stood as a towering figure with the stature of a giant among men, striking fear and demanding respect, standing at six feet two inches tall. In the shadowy realm of organised crime, he was known as a capo, a boss whose influence extended across cities and states, a formidable lord within the criminal syndicates. But this identity was nothing more than a carefully constructed facade, a mask he wore to protect his true self from the gaze of those who would harm the possessions he held dear to. To shield his authentic persona from the prying eyes of assassins and tyrants his true mission remained shrouded in secrecy, allowing him to navigate the treacherous waters of the underworld undetected. In his eyes, his mission was all clear: to root out the corruption and lawlessness that had taken hold, and to restore order to a world riddled with chaos and unbalanced power. It was a dangerous game of cat and mouse, yet knowing he couldn't just sit and watch so he became the player, the one who knew how to play with the precision and dedication of a true villain, hidden in plain sight. He desired nothing more than wanting to obliterate the lawless elements that plagued society, purging the world of its criminal infestations once and for all to its end.

Contrary to the image he projected before her, he allowed her to believe he was the villain of the story. In truth, he was an undercover agent for the Indian intelligence, posing as a Capo. No wonder why his notoriety in the business world as a celebrated entrepreneur served as the perfect cover. To combat the heinous crimes afflicting the cities and nations, he embraced the guise of the very menace he sought to destroy from the roots of its origin. Trying to get revealed to the world as the dangerous underworld figure they feared while orchestrating the downfall of the criminal empire from within, he embraced his greatest challenge which lay in maintaining the delicate balance between his dual identities. With the burdened psychological toll of living a life shrouded in deception and lies constantly looking over his shoulder for threats from both the law and the lawless, was immense. He delved into his own self-morality of sorts. He wasn't just dismantling the criminal empire, no, but to do so without losing his own sense of self, humanity and morality in the process, was his real motive.

Initially, fear gripped her when she was abruptly removed from her dormitory with her brother. However, as time unfolded, she began to discern the various hidden aspects of his character, previously concealed within the depths of his dark, obsidian eyes.

The unpredictability of his shades was such a confounding storm and nerve-wracking to even realise what to comprehend from it. Unaware of when or how it happened, she found herself falling for him without having any reality of it. The moment was indefinable, occurring without warning, without a care in the world as sudden and unforeseen as a storm in the clearest of days.

Seemingly, the looming question persists: will she be able to uncover the enigmatic layers concealed within him, the human he had become? The one under his scathed soul that he had been hiding since, god knows, when? Or perhaps fate has stored something much more than simply revealing deeper truths than she could have imagined from her past that she couldn't even fathom in her path?

Will he easily permit her to delve into the depths of his being, into his psyche, and his heart, unravelling the shades he's harboured for untold years in secrecy without letting a soul know what kind of person he has become? Or the most important part: will he be able to jeopardise her life to let her understand him for their flourishing relationship under the weight of both of their troubling pasts?

Crucially, can he find the courage in himself to disclose the truth about safeguarding her and Shaurya without making her suspicious of her forgotten traumatic past?
